The Newsletter section of EC Online is a place for you to review News Briefs, Position Papers and Articles of interest to those who work in the Environment of Care®. Sometimes this material will address late-breaking changes to the Joint Commission® standards or survey process. Other times these articles will address a particular area of the EC for which we have uncovered a particularly interesting process, fact or solution. These articles may address the EC from the Joint Commission® perspective, or they may be derived from OSHA, EPA, NFPA® or other standards providers/regulatory bodies. And, at other times, these articles may relate to the outcome of a particular facility's JCAHO® survey or known trend in the Joint Commission® survey process. We welcome inquiries, submissions and opportunities for co-authoring articles from EC Online subscribers for this section - please contact us at info@safemgt.com if you have a particularly interesting situation or topic which you would like to address.

The Message Board was developed to give our staff and subscribers a place to communicate on a larger forum. If you have information, such as your facility's survey outcome, surveyor information and profiles, or interesting challenges you've recently encountered in your EC - here is a place to list them. If you have an upcoming event or resource which is worth sharing with other subscribers - give them to us for posting. If you are looking for any materials related to your facilities operation and would like to query our subscriber group, list them here. How do I sign up to subscribe to EC Online?
Each subscription to EC Online entitles the subscriber (facility) to designate four (4) users per facility for Unlimited Access. "Unlimited Access" as it is used here includes:

• Access to the Web Site EC Online 24-7 for all designated "users"
  
• Unlimited phone, fax and mail access to the SMS, Inc.'s EC Online support staff during normal business hour. The support staff is tasked to provide subscribers with detailed research on and printed documentation for your inquiries. • Access to latest Joint Commission® standard changes

Pricing

EC-Online™ is priced at per facility rate of $945 for a year's subscription with 4 "users." Each subscription runs for 12 months from the date of activation, and may be purchased with check, credit card, purchase order, or with your permission, we will invoice the facility. Each "user" will be issued a confidential and password-protected "username" and "password" which will allow them to access the site.

Government facilities (i. e., county, state or federal) are offered a discounted price - please contact SMS, Inc.'s marketing department for your special pricing at info@safemgt.com. If you have multiple facilities in your group or network, or you require additional users for your subscription, please contact the marketing department so we may assist you with your special needs.
