Andrew V. Mongiardo is a 30 year veteran of Coler-Goldwater Specialty Hospital and Nursing Facility, a New York City Health and Hospital Corporation entity. As the Director of Engineering and Maintenance of Coler-Goldwater, Andy led the facilities department to six consecutive successful the Joint Commission® survey outcomes. An electrician by trade, Andy brings his unique skill set and expertise to SMS, Inc™ as a Senior Staff Consultant.

Andy is a Certified Health Facilities Manager (CHFM) who has complete mastery of all aspects of facilities management and the Environment of Care®, with particular strength in the areas of electrical distribution systems, emergency power systems, construction management and fire protection systems. While at Coler-Goldwater, Andy has helped develop and maintain code compliance programs, SOC™/PFI's, Building Maintenance Programs (BMP), and preventive maintenance Programs. Andy is a life long learner and maintains professional memberships in Healthcare Engineering Society of Greater NY, American Society of Healthcare Engineering, and the National Fire Protection Association®.
