John has a 30-year plus professional history in the fields of Safety, Fire Protection, Law Enforcement, and Emergency Management. As a Senior Fire Marshal for a town of 450,000 residents, a Joint Commission® Life Safety Code® Specialist, and a Safety Coordinator for a 286-bed hospital, John has honed his skills as an Environment of Care® expert at the highest level. Additionally, John has served as Incident Commander for the Town of Brookhaven, NY, at emergency scenes directing the resources of the Town of Brookhaven and coordinating their resources with other agencies.

John holds numerous certifications, including CHSP, NY State Building Code Official, NY State-certified Fire Investigator I & II, and several other federal certifications for Hazardous Materials and Waste and Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD) Decontamination. John is a member of many organizations such as ASHE, NFPA®, NY State Association of Fire Chiefs and has been a member of the Terryville Fire Department since 1976 and has served as Chief of Department.
