Lori B. Dinney, MS PE - Manager of Fire Protection Services

Ms. Dinney is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh (BS, Chemical Engineering) and the Worcester Polytechnic Institute (MS, Fire Protection Engineering). She has extensive experience in healthcare engineering, particularly related to code compliance, construction plan reviews, surveys for Life Safety, the development of equivalencies, and in building/commissioning fire suppression systems.

Presently, Ms. Dinney is the manager of fire protection services for SMS, Inc™, of Arlington Heights, IL. Her responsibilities include the production of Statement of Conditions™ documents, conducting audits of Environment of Care® Programs, preparing healthcare facilities for the Joint Commission® survey, consulting of Fire Safety Programs, creating traditional equivalencies as well as fire safety evaluation system equivalencies, and management of building maintenance programs.
