Stan Clement, Vice President & Chief Operating Officer

Stan’s background includes licensure as a Marriage, Family & Child Therapist, a martial artist, a “sport” motorcyclist, an adventure skier, a soccer player of dubious ability, lover of dogs and an expert in medical restraint safety. Prior to joining SMS, Inc™, Stan served as the Director of Education for the J. T. Posey Company, a leader in medical safety and security products. Stan has conducted seminars nationally on issues related to medical restraint, violence in the workplace and personal self-defense for healthcare & security personnel.

At SMS, Inc., Stan is responsible for the day-to-day operations and facilitates the technical staff in our consultations, publications and educational activities. Since SMS, Inc.’s technical staff is largely out in the field assisting clients – please feel free to use Stan as a primary contact with any questions, issues, problems or considerations regarding the Joint Commission®’s Environment of Care®, as he will connect you to the appropriate people in our organization to address your questions.
